Conduct digital visitations in this app
The Cidnet app is a pocket version of the website with the same name. Designed for convenience, this free app allows you to communicate or conduct virtual visits to incarcerated friends or family members. New users, though, must first provide their personal information along with their U.S. time zone.
Schedule virtual visits
To some people, in-person visits are inconvenient, but thanks to Cidnet, you can send messages and schedule a video visit from your fingertips. It doesn’t come for free, however, as visits and messages require data, which costs money. Video call schedules also need to be approved by the recipient.
This way, both the user and incarcerated person are available on the day of the call. Transaction and video visitation history are available for viewing, as well. Depending on the incarceration facility, you may also have to upload a photo of your ID.
Convenient for both parties
Not everyone has time for physical visits. Thankfully, Cidnet supports messaging and scheduled video calls to keep in touch with incarcerated individuals. Messages and calls consume data, which is available for purchase. Unfortunately, this app is only available in the U.S.
